01Weight Management Pathway

Weight management pathway.

The assessment looks at your weight history, health and what you have already tried.

The plan may include dietary guidance and medical treatment where appropriate, with follow-up reviews to assess your progress and adjust your care.

02Hair Loss Pathway

Hair loss pathway.

Hair loss can have different causes. Assessment helps establish the likely cause before treatment is considered.

Treatment options may include

  • PRP & PRF
  • Medication & supplementation

Depending on the cause of the hair loss and suitability following assessment.

The PRP Hair guide explains the assessment and when PRP may or may not be appropriate.

03Treatment & prescribing

Treatment & prescribing.

Please describe what you need help with before booking, so it can be confirmed whether the concern falls within odNOVA’s scope of practice.

Assessment first

Treatment or prescribing may be offered after an assessment, when enough information is available to make a safe decision. This is not a general private GP service.

Review before prescribing

Previous use of a medicine does not guarantee another prescription. Its effect, any side effects and relevant changes in your health need to be reviewed first.

04Blood sample collection

Blood sample collection.

Blood can be collected at odNOVA for treatments such as PRP and PRF, as well as for laboratory testing.

Tests arranged through odNOVA

Where appropriate, blood tests can be agreed with you and arranged through odNOVA to help assess your overall health or inform your treatment. In this case, I discuss your results with you and explain what they mean for the next steps in your care.

Tests you arrange independently

You can also arrange your own laboratory tests and attend for sample collection. The laboratory emails the results directly to you. For this collection-only service, interpretation is not included and should be arranged with the clinician responsible for your tests.

Before you decide

A clear
next step.

What if odNOVA cannot help with my concern?

The reason will be explained, along with a more appropriate next step. Depending on the concern, that may be your GP, NHS 111 or another clinician or service. Advice to contact another service is not a formal referral.

Are medicines included in the consultation fee?

Medicines obtained from a pharmacy on a separate prescription are not included in the consultation fee. Any additional costs will be explained before you decide.

What if no treatment is recommended?

The assessment should explain why treatment is not recommended, whether more information or tests are needed, and what to do next. This may include advice to contact a different service. An appointment does not guarantee a prescription or procedure.

Questions about sharing information with your GP or another clinician can be discussed before arranging care. Privacy and Cookie Policy.
